Research interests

Dr. Anusha Shrestha joined the faculty in fall 2021 as assistant professor of forest economics. Shrestha holds a diversity of research specialties, including forest economics and management; economic impact analysis of forest management activities; econometric models of private forest landowners; valuation of nonmarket forest goods and services; human dimension of natural resource management; forest fuel management and GIS application in natural resource management.

She earned a doctoral degree in forest resources from Mississippi State University, a Master of Science in forest resources at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Nepal’s Tribhuvan University.
