Abstract
The text presents data collected in 1971 on radiance and polarization degree in the Mediterranean Sea, alongside a simulation of these measurements using a Monte Carlo technique. The independent scattering treatment employed, which utilizes a Stokes vector formalism to describe the light field's polarization state, showed a notably good agreement with the in-situ measured values.
