Abstract

There were gaps in nursing education simulations, particularly related to scenarios involving death and fetal demise. To address this deficiency in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, a fetal demise simulation was introduced. This simulation includes pre-simulation preparation, assigned roles, a scenario focusing on care during the immediate postpartum period, communication training regarding fetal demise, and a debriefing session. The positive response and satisfaction of students with this simulation have prompted the development of additional simulations related to mortality and morbidity in various levels of nursing education within the BSN program.
