Abstract
This study explores the link between weight stigmatization and binge eating amid other known risk factors using a cumulative risk model. It analyzes both bariatric patients and undergraduate students, finding a distinct impact of weight stigmatization on binge eating, particularly among the undergraduate group. The results underline weight stigmatization as a significant predictor of binge eating, emphasizing the necessity for more research on how such experiences foster eating disorders.
