Deena Petersen received her Bachelor of Science in speech-language pathology from Abilene Christian University and her Master of Science in speech-language pathology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She also has early childhood special education and principal Texas educator certifications. She has been a speech-language pathologist for nearly 30 years and has worked in public schools, private clinics and the Department of Defense Education Activity in Japan.
