I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU), the University of Texas System. In addition to my teaching and faculty roles, I am a member of the Council on Field Education under the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Before joining SFASU, I accumulated over 15 years of experience with a range of research, development, and service organizations, including the United Nations Headquarters in New York, UNDP Bangladesh, BRAC International, and the Population Council. My academic background includes a PhD in Social Work from Indiana University, a Master’s in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University, and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work, as well as a Diploma and a Master’s in Population Sciences from the University of Dhaka. |
