Evolutionary critical theory, metaphor, and organizational change

Producción científica: Review articlerevisión exhaustiva

Resumen

This paper aims to identify the most effective metaphor(s) to aid in understanding the organizational change process. Through a conceptual discussion, it's found that while metaphors are valuable in clarifying and navigating organizational change, there's a lack of consensus on which metaphor(s) are best suited. The paper suggests adopting Veblen's metaphor of "endogenous evolution" to address this gap, supported by current organizational change studies. This insight is valuable for management professionals to better equip them in facing and managing organizational change processes.
