Resumen
An exoplanet, TOI-908 b, orbiting the star TOI-908 (TIC-350153977) has been discovered using TESS data. TOI-908 is a solar-like G-dwarf star with specific mass and radius measurements. The planet, TOI-908 b, has a size of 3.18 R⊕ and orbits its star in 3.18 days. Its mass, determined by HARPS measurements, results in a particular bulk planetary density. Interestingly, TOI-908 b is located in a region known as the Neptune desert, which is sparsely populated by planets. This planet likely originated as a sub-Saturn but has undergone significant photoevaporation due to radiation from its star. As a result, it is expected to continue evaporating, losing a substantial portion of its envelope mass.
